Phone Heating Up, Then Draining Battery

I am a new owner of the Charge coming from the Thunderbolt. I love the device and don't regret the move. However, my phone occasionally is hot to the touch and when that happens the battery drains rapidly. I have not noticed a correlation between what I am doing when this happens and appears to happen sometimes when not even using the phone at all. Usually, if I restart it, the phone will cool off. Also, I have noticed that the phone loses data connection occasionally even though I am in a strong LTE market.

Any others have these issues?

yeah its normal for the phone to heat up but how hot are we talking? People are having data connections as well some had their issue fixed by going into vzw for a sim swap. If it seems you got a lemon you can bring it back in within the 14 days any time after theyll send u refurbished ones.
