I have been noticing problems with my Gmail app not synching automatically. I never get Gmail notifications anymore. If I go into the gmail program it is supposed to sync when you go in, but it doesn't. If I force a sync after I get in the program, it then syncs and my unread gmails show up in the inbox. I read on another forum where someone thought it was a wifi issue that stopped his gmail from syncing. I have turned off 4g and only ran 3g, no sync. Turned on wifi with 3g, no sync. Turned on 4g without wifi, no sync. Turned on 4g with wifi, no sync. Appears to be an issue with gmail.
For those to wonder, in my settings, account/sync, background data and auto-sync are both checked and the gmail sync is green which means that it is set to sync automatically.
