OG Droid, to Inc2 Migration Questions

I have a OG Droid. When I get the Inc2 and activate it, and then pop my 16GB card from the OG Droid will all my Apps install?

Can I get a preferred method of doing this?

Talk to me, I get it tomorrow.

Not a big deal

I bought the incredible 2 last Friday, coming from the OG. I simply didn't want to transfer all my music or photos, so I switched out the sd cards.. worked fine. I didn't notice any apps transfer, but they downloaded easy from the market again. The only issue I had was video.. for some reason it doesn't want to play the videos from my OG.
I miss the vanilla android, but have been getting use to Sense,,,

So what is the best method?

Backup apps on the OG card and back up the card to a HDD.

Open box and charge the phone.
Power up phone.
Config all the email and sync stuff and preferences.
See what if any will auto install?
If not all then pop in the OG 16GB SD card?

The above is something like I am looking for. I am not too dense, I build my own PC's and write GUI but am cautiously new with the phone thing.

I wonder if I should weed through the backup copy of the OG SD card and pull anything I do not want to duplicate or never use. Will it put the OG bloat on there?
