Force G-Sensor On

I found a cool Pedometer App that I want to use but unfortunately just like it cautions in the instructions, some phones Accelerometer/G-Sensor turns off when the screen shuts off. That is the case for my HTC Inc. I was wondering if there is a hidden menu of some other way of being able to keep the G-Sensor working when the screen shuts off?

You know, that's a great question. I never knew that it turned off when the screen goes out, but now that I think about it it makes some sense.

Honestly, I have no idea how you could do that. I'm not even sure if it can be done. Your best bet might be to ask the same question in the Forum at cyanogenmod.com. If any devs would know the answer, it would be them.
