Another wifi problem, phone wont switch to router with strongest signal.

I have been having a problem with the wifi on my phone. Where I work we have multiple routers set up, but my phone never seems to switch to the router with the strongest signal. Sometimes my phone will switch to 3g (my wifi is set to never sleep), when I open up the wifi menu I see i'm getting signal through the routers, then when I press connect to the router it connects just fine. I have also noticed that the signal strength for each router is inaccurate, it will show that a router out of range in the building has a better signal then then the router i'm standing right next to. I have tried turning the phone on and off and I don't have any similar problems with my laptop, Any ideas how to fix this?

Seems like this is a problem with all versions of android, I have not seen a fix for this yet? Anyone else?

I see this problem with both android and windows, damn things stick to the old wifi access point unless it drops off completely.
