Google Voice problems

Installed Google Voice while I had a voicemail in my verizon voicemail account. It now goes to google voice and says I have no new voicemails but yet I still have the voicemail icon and notification showing. Please tell me how I can uninstall and go back to regular Verizon voicemail to delete those voicemails and start the google voice install process over.

I had this happen a while back. The basic work around was to go to Google Voice and deactivate it as your voice-mail provider (under Settings), call Verizon's voice-mail from your phone and clear the message (and the notification), and to then reactivate Google Voice. It should take just a few minutes, and all your settings/greetings will be remembered. Hope that helps.
