Who wants to start working on an iOS 4.2 port that we can get before them?

As someone who put 2.2 on his old iPhone 3G... it wasn't worth the effort. It was incredibly sluggish, the networking (wifi) was essentially broken, and with no support for power management, the phone was only really effective as a hand warmer as it ate through a full battery in about 2 hours.

For the simple enjoyment of hacking, it was fun to do, but it wasn't usable in any sense of the word. I'll take 2.1 on my Fascinate over 2.2 on an iPhone any day.
