Two question about root

Hello everyone. Just picked up a nexus from verizon today. Im wondering two things. First is wugs one click the best way to root 4.0.2. Second once rooted can you tether without big red seeing?

Wugs is a good way to do, so is the sticky from Cyber. They both work great, so read through the instructions and use whichever sounds easier to you.

As far as tethering, you can use the free wifi tether app or some of the ROMs have there own. To my knowledge, verizon does not see this. I only tether every once in a while when I need to use my pc and have no internet access. I would say that if you want to use it to watch videos all the time and you're downloading tons of data, they might wonder why/how.

I can recommend Wug's Toolkit. Very easy to use.

I am with grey, I only tether occasionally when I travel for work, but I have noticed I get throttled when I tether all day long. Not sure what Big Red sees. Supposedly, Koush (Clockwork Mod fame) has a tether program that Big Red cannot see, but have not used it.
