Last night I totally lost my 3g connection/icon gone
and haven't been able to get it back :/

things i've tried:
- removed battery/sim
- checked battery door
- flashed to previous rom backups
- power cycled radio
- checked radio in cdma auto prl
- flashed mr2 radio again through hboot

and still nothing.
- my signal bar shows 2-3 bars and at one point
I had 3g icon flash for a split second then went away again

what would be my next step? I'm rooted running
a GBdebloat rom.

- before bringing it into verizon to troubleshoot
should I unroot/flash stock rom?

so I got everything figured out now.....
hopefully everything stays working. I'm really not sure what the deal was.

I was on the phone w/ tech support for about an hr troubleshooting
then after that still was not able to get 3g connection.

Rep told me to go in store and try out a new sim card - so i did
- I got the sim card changed out, it was working while I was in there
and then the 3g went away again.

- I went back they checked it out again and the rep ended up going
on to droidforums lol and printed out the directions to toggle on/off 4g
*#*#4464#*#* ..... for me to do because she was not "allowed" to do the
programming.

after I did that I set radio to "cdma auto prl" and 3g appeared again.
geeez.. bottom line i'm glad I was able to get the issue resolved w/out
having to go through and getting a replacement.

I'm glad you were able to get the issue resolved too. As many times as that "fix" has been discussed here on AC it never occurred to me that you had not tried it yet :)

me to frank :)

crazy thing was is that the rom I was using had that built in so before
i even took it to the store I did toggle on/off radio that way as well
as doing it manually w/ the code above and it still did not work.

i'll update again if the issue happens again. hopefully the steps I took
helps someone else out here.
