Can't play music and record video

Prior to the Gingerbread update, I used to play music (either local, Google Music, Rhapsody, Pandora, SubSonic, you name it) while recording video. I primarily did this in the car as I like to have video evidence of the lunacy I come across in my travels across Massachusetts. However, since the GB update, this no longer works. As soon as I start recording video, whether the mic is on or off, it pauses the music. Is anyone else getting this issue or have a solution? I am rooted, and using a deodexed / zipaligned RUU of the official ROM. Thanks in advance!

I never even knew you could do such a thing, but it logically makes sense. I would ask the dev that whipped up the altered stock RUU. It likely could be a glitched cause in zipaligning, but I am no expert in such matters.
