Hey guys, I'm known as T Greezy over at XDA. I thought I'd come over and use my first post as a good first impression. Everyone knows about the Verizon S4 bootloader problem. So here's my post, word for word, at XDA. I just want to spread awareness!

With the bounty of almost $4,000 (last time I checked) you would think that someone/recognized dev or team, would step up to this bounty of unlocking the bootloader on the Verizon variant of the S4. Even since the ME7 update, (mid July?), I am surprised! I thought I would put in my 2 cents of the topic. There is a website called change.org, which is an online petition website. I'm sure some of you have heard it.

Anyways, I saw a petition of the LG 4X. A guy made up a petition to unlock the boot loader. Soon enough, the amount of required signatures was reached, and LG came out with an update and BAM. Boot loader unlocked. Here is the link: http://www.change.org/petitions/lg-e...r-in-lg-phones

I'm going to create an petition for the Verizon S4, and hopefully, this works. Just a little bit of hope for you guys, I want it just as bad as everyone else.

You need to create an account on change.org, also you can use your facebook details. Doesn't matter. but make an account and sign!
Here is the petition, let me know what you think guys! If I need to edit anything, let me know.

This is awesome.

While I agree with this statement, I have my doubts that it will work. None the less, I will sign.

EDIT: At least, I would have signed...link doesn't appear to be working...?

This guy makes a good point. Doesn't everyone spend every minute of their day worrying about the absolute most important thing they can think of without ever pausing to think of anything less important than that? If you pause, then you have wasted your time when you could have been worrying about something more important. I did however take time away from my singular focus to sign the petition and would love to get enough signatures that maybe this phone and all future Samsung phones would ship with an unlocked bootloader. Well done OP!

Well...given this is Verizon (I dont know what Carrier that LG was on), I HIGHLY doubt they really care about a petition!!! Samsung locked it up nice and tight on their own (I think it had something to do with going after Government contracts with a more secure device maybe?) While I would also love to have the ability to install custom software and I miss the functionality of TWRP, I am not holding my breath that this will make a difference :(
