Verizon extra cost?

Not sure if this belongs here but I am planning on getting a droid tommorow but is there an extra cost for it monthly because it's a smart phone? Like 20$ or something?

unlimited data and email.

texting is a separate part of your plan

Also 1 more question, for droid market place is it through carrier or can you like use a visa card?

Yes, you have to create a Google Checkout account and you can use whatever card you want

You don't go through the carrier, on Verizon at least. The only carrier I'm aware of that supports that is T-Mobile. Droid, does not need the VZ account. This is a good thing too.

Isn't T-Mobile just now getting that feature on their Andoid phones as of recently?
