So I know how to resize images, etc.
I am pretty good with photoshop, etc.
However I have an image set to the exact dimensions of my Incredible.
Yet, it still wants to crop the image because when you swipe screens it scrolls the image.

Is there any way to have a static image for every background?
I thought turning off background animations would correct this but it doesn't.

I didn't want to use a third party app to disable it....

Scodoublet,
do you know the dimensions to make the wallpaper wider when scrolling? Or do you have to use the junk crop tool in Android?

I'm pretty sure the Droid Incredinbles wallpaper needs to be 960x800 in order to see the full resolution. You'll still have to use the crop box when you assign the wallpaper but just simply stretch it out over the entire image and it will work fine.

yeah it won't let you.
It only gives you a small rectangle and only goes the width of the phone then blows up the image...boo...to pixelated.

I may try to make the image smaller, but make the canvas size the correct 960x800.

and here is the crop box extended (I drew it crudely in PS) to show what becomes the background.

re-size the original image to only 800 pixels tall then paste it on to a 960x800 solid color background of your choice (like black)

but it'll still 'scroll' left and right unless you use something like Launcher Pro that disables that option

Yeah that is what I was thinking...that this acts more like windows backgrounds where your options are full size, scale to fit or tile :)

Thanks gang!

Really wish there was an easier way.....Launcher Pro does what sense does more or less otherwise I would go that route.

I personally find Launcher Pro to be better than Sense - except there's no photo gallery widget like sense has
