Flashing "Network Error" every 5 minutes. How can I detect the application triggering that?

Hello,

Samsung Galaxy S4, Android 4.2.2, not rooted.

Often my phone starts flashing those little pop-up messages, showing "Network Error". I observed during lunch today, and it's every 5 minutes.

I killed/stopped/disabled some suspect applications (Tasker, Tweet Caster, etc) but the message continued.

I ran and logged data via CatLog, but could not find any indication of what app is causing that. Actually, not even the words "network" or "error".

Wi-Fi is on and connected, and Internet browseable, so it's nothing to do with lack of Internet access.

I suspect maybe some app or setting with some incorrect network setting, but I just can't find it.

How can I detect which process is issuing the flash pop-up messages with the error?

It just bothers me. Other than that, the phone is running fine.

Thanks for any help\
