anyone know how to fix a freezing app?

the camera function makes my phone go black until i pull the battery. thought it was just Snapchat, but happened on the regular camera app too. happens at least once a day. anyone know how to fix it?

Does it ever work? What device do you have? What version of Android are you using? What have you tried, besides pulling the battery?

Regularly pulling the battery is not good for your device...

Meanwhile, it sounds like a resource issue, or possibly an app that has camera access that doesn't want to share. So first things first let's give your camera a fighting chance. Go into your settings, open the app manager, scroll to the right to all apps and find your camera. Clear the cache and data for the camera. Restart the phone and see if you have issues. Find a cache app at the PS and run it to clear out all of your caches, if you have 1000s of SMS and MMS messages try reducing this load. If the problem came on all of the sudden it may be related to a recently installed app. Open your app drawer and sort by recent, upper left-hand corner. Look at the last 5 apps you've installed. Do any of them have camera access? Try disabling or uninstalling ones that do. Restart the phone and see if the problem is still there.
