Galaxy Grand not detecting in Odin

[AC Question]

Hi,

I have galaxy grand duos I9082. I want to root it, but it is not being detected in download mode by Odin.

I have checked this on WinXP, Win 7. The device is getting detected by windows and i can read and write on to the phone using PC, but nothing happening in ODIN Mode. In ODIN when i try to connect, the PC gives the message "USB Device not recognized". But in normal mode it gets detected, files can be copied, deleted, etc.

Note: I have installed samsung drivers numerous times, changed many cables but the same situation.
Serious Help Required.

Are you running Odin as administrator? If that doesn't work, try an alternate version of Odin. It's possible the one you're using is too new/old to support your phone.

Try version 1.85

You need to right click the program before running and run as admin.

Same Problem here.....Odin initially detected My Grand Duos, but after re installing windows, and samsung drivers, odin doesnt detect my phone..

Now I am stuck with the stupid Official android version..
