LG G2 AT&T unable to update firmware

Hi guys. I got an LG G2 AT&T recently on ebay, though I'm in Australia and I don't have an AT&T sim card. The current software version is D80010Q. When I check for software update on the phone it says my phone is not registered. Using the LG PC Suite software it says the software is up to date. Is there anyway to force update to kitkat? I don't really wanna have to mess up with it by rooting or so. I read about the clearing Google framework services method but obviously there are issues. Please help! Many thanks in advance!
