Welcome to AC :)
Unfortunately, that device is only upgradeable to 4.1.2
And since it is almost 3 years old, there probably isn't much custom ROM support, if any.

Yes! I found that!
But i am very much afraid in doing that
Because i have never done that before!
If i boot it with that custom rom and it doesn't work
So my old rom also don't work and then my phone will be of NO USE :(

You can flash the stock ROM fairly easily.
Is your device rooted?

My phone works slow
So that's why I want to upgrade it to higher version!
And i asked my friends they said not to do anything! It is of no use!
If i upgrade the version so that version will not work properly!

Oh, OK. I thought you meant you had already updated it and that it was slow.
It should at least be faster than what it is now. Were you able to successfully root the device?

I discussed that with my friend and he told me not to do anything!

If you don't know what you're doing, it's recommended to stay away from rooting and installing custom ROMs, so I'm with your friend on this one.
It would likely improve performance over the stock ROM though
