Do I have a virus?

I have a nexus 7 tablet and im not able to go on it it just has four colors going in a circle and when I try to reset it than it has a purple screen for a millisecond with different color squares on the four corners can someone please help me fix it?

Welcome to Android Central! It's probably not a virus. That sounds more like a problem with the firmware and/or hardware. See if you can boot into Recovery Mode and wipe the system cache partition: http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...e-nexus-7-2012-2013-cache-partition-wipe.html. If that doesn't help, try a factory reset.

Last resort would be to restore the factory image:
