Why text message to one person slow and freeze?

I have one person that i text everyday and that number is always freezing and i have to clear all on task manager to even be able to type sometimes. Takes forever to load up. My messaging just seems slow in general but this one number for sure. I know they have a Verizon phone that is new also. What could it be?

Try Settings, Apps, All, scroll to the Messaging app, and select Clear Cache.
Also, if you haven't done so of late, you may care to go to Settings, Storage, Cached Data, and clear the cache. And indeed a Cache Partition wipe would not go amiss, I think.
