Am I allowed to use brand's names in my app?

Trademark question - am I allowed to use brand's names in my app

I started planning, designing and collecting data for my application. I can't tell you details about this app, but it's linked to fashion world and SHOULD have listed a big number of clothing brands.
Is it legal to use names of various brands or should I ask each of them their permission?

I can't seem to find a decent answer and I can't keep on working on my app before I have this piece of information.

Try U.S. Copyright Office - Copyright Law: Chapter 1

If it falls under Fair Use, and you acknowledge the trademark, you should be okay. ("Fair Use" isn't defined strictly enough to have any precedents, but if you just mention a trademark in passing, like "this app will work on Windows™", you're not infringing.)

Thanks for your answer!
I would have to use not only U.S. trademarks, but also International - from countries all over the world.
The app would include all sizes of various brand's clothings, and basic information - everything would be 100% accurate, and I would use only the information found on their official websites.
Does it still fit in "Fair Use"?
