On my Galaxy Note 4, why are some check boxes missing in some settings?

My Galaxy Note 4 Check Boxes are missing in some settings

My check boxes are missing in several settings locations: Sound, Display, Developer menu.

This makes it very confusing because I don't know if I enabled an option or not. When I click on them to test them, I can't tell if they got disabled or enabled, there's just no check box icon there to let me know visually that I did so or not.

Also, I just got the phone today.

(Already tried a factory reset and clearing the cache via home+volume up).

How do I fix this please?

Thanks!

You have to tap the actual item. For instance, in "Sounds", tap "Notifications", "Touch Sounds", "Haptic Feedback", etc. It will then open up and display your options for that particular function.
