How to reset phone to factory setting with no screen use?

I have a sony xperia z and am getting a new phone delivered this afternoon, they asked me to transfer my data over (which I dont know how to do) and factory reset it so they can collect it. Wondering if there was any way to do this with no screen use as the touch systems are not working at all. Thank you.

put your phone into recovery mode by pressing the power and volume up or down on powerup. than your into recovery mode and than you navigate with the volume controls for up and down and the power button to select. go down to factory reset and hit the power button than in the next screen go down to yes and press the power button. than your phone is factory resseting and powering back on.
