How do I get a Galaxy S3 phone to sync K-9 email?

I had to re-install K-9 email on my Galaxy S3 phone due to need to reset email password. When I did, my email will no longer sync. I get a message each time I manually bring in my email to my phone that says "Syncing disabled". I have searched everywhere in the Settings and cannot find where I can default syncing.

Settings/General/Accounts - there should be an entry for K9. (I have K9 disabled at the moment, so I can't look in it to see where, in its settings, you get to the same place, but I'm pretty sure it's in K9's settings - probably in something like Accounts.)
