I am trying to connect my Gear watch to a Note 3 and it's just not working. The watch was working fine until I wanted to update the weather from my old town to my new one. There was an update available for the Gear which I did. Now I can't get my watch to connect. I tapped my Note 3 to the Gear charger and get a message that states "No downloadable content". Ok. When I tap on the Samsung Gear app on my Note 3 it states "Notice - Unable to connect to Gear. Connecting to Gear is not supported by your mobile device, or your software needs to be updated. Check that your mobile device is able to connect to the Gear, then update your mobile device software".
My Note 3 is updated and NFC is enabled.
Does this mean I can't use my Gear watch with the Note 3? If that is the case, what a waste of $300 for a watch I can't use.
Again, it was working ok until the recent update.
