I've forgotten my alternate security question on my android phone...

I always use fingerprint recognition. I've tried to reset the password on the android central but it says that the phone is already locked. Duh! I know. I only have 2 tries left.

I don't want to lose all my photos and files on the phone by rebooting. I cannot bring up the fingerprint scanner either.

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, you're kind of stuck. I assume you mean that you tried Android Device Manager, not Android Central (we don't have any control over your phones).

In the future, if you're prone to forgetting your important passwords, write them down somewhere and keep them safe at home.
