Why can't I play my downloaded movies from the playstore, after the lollipop update?

[AC Question]

i've just updated to lollipop on Sony Xperia Z3 compact Tablet, and when i tried to play back a movie was getting a message saying I need an internet connection for play back (was out at the time so no internet connection).

The movies still have the red check mark beside them, indicating that they are downloaded on the device, but still no play back.

Any ideas??

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Play Movies, and Clear Cache (but not Clear Data, because that might delete the downloaded movie). Now try again.
