Can I get some help with my swipe key?

Having trouble with swipe key

Swipe key gives me the most random words even when I am as precise as I can be swiping. Is there any sort of calibration or means of adjusting settings?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, and which keyboard? Is it the stock keyboard, or the actual Swype keyboard? Is the language of the keyboard set to English (US)?

After you check your language, check your keyboard settings while you're there. Some keyboards have a calibration tool for touch input. My HTC Sense keyboard does but my actual Swype keyboard does not. I know Swype customizes their keyboards for different device so some versions may offer calibration settings.
