It looks like the Galaxy Avant is currently on 4.4.2 (KitKat). I haven't seen anything related to a pending 5.x update; however, you can open system settings > about phone > software updates to check for an update to see if it's available. That's where you'll find future updates to be downloaded and installed onto the phone.

Can someone give the the ifficial samsung android os itaelf? I accidently deleted the os via TWRP and i need to reinstall it

Samsung said went the carrier get around to it ie T-Mobile so we got wait and wait till then My next phone is going be from google then I know my phone will get updated on time also Samsung posted the firmware update would be Q2 or Q3 it is almost end of Q3

Inside info from a friend at t-mobile says no update for any future o.s. from Google. The avant is a discontinued non-premium model and will not go beyond kit kat, officially. I have heard of some people experimenting with s-series roms for marshmallow now, but if your phone bricks, you will have to build it yourself.
