How do I transfer music files from my pc to my Samsung Galaxy?

When I plug my phone into my pc the pc does not acknowledge the phone. I am unable to sync with Windows Media Player. Am I missing something?

Download Samsung Kies or Smart Switch from Samsung to the pc, run it and connect.
That way it will download the correct drivers / software for the device.

You can just drag the music files onto the device at their maximum size, or use WMP to sync and work out the space.

When connecting after the drivers are installed, watch the notification shade and make sure it's set as an MTP device, not a PTP device.
