How can I connect my S6 Edge+ to my Bluetooth headset?

I can't see to get this working. For the life of me I can't connect my S6 Edge+ to my Bluetooth headset! Can I please get some help?

Go to the Bluetooth page in the phone. Make the headset detectable (see the headset instructions for that). Scan on the phone. It should find the headset. Pair.

From then on, it should connect whenever you turn Bluetooth on and the headset is on and close (within a few feet).
