Lollipop Update

As expected I got the lollipop update. When i connected my phone with PC to update it via KIES, KIES showed a message regarding the update. The size of the update was nearly 750MB. But in note it was written that make sure your device has 3 GB of space empty in the device.
Is it necessary? I have 1.7 GB Space available in Internal Memory and yeah how much battery is needed before upgrading?

Yeah it is necessary, if you don't have the required space to download the update it won't work. From past experience, anything over 50% battery should be good enough

It might not let you update. I got a message saying I needed more memory, so I made some room, then re-added the stuff after the update.
