WTF was andriod thinking with Lollypop Update?

[AC Question]

Just installed the new update on my Moto X and want to know how to go back to the previous setup! I can't easily silence my phone, can't easily turn off/on WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, or change brightness settings. WTF is this ****? You took away every part of the UI that was actually useful!

Is there a way to get these parts of the UI back?
