How to change default in built player to other apps for Zenfone2 laser

I am using zenfone 2 laser. Earlier when ever I do open a video file it asked through which application to be played like in built player and VLC ect., Unfortunately I put always to play through in built player. In this I couldn't change the brightness, volume, scenes by scrolling ect., I dont find the way to change the mode as earlier. Please guide me to resolve this.

Hi, welcome to the forums! You need to clear defaults in settings - apps for the stock player. If you can find it as an individual app maybe it's included in the the stock gallery. If nothing works there's a workaround you could try. Download a different player from the Play Store and the "just once / always" menu should pop up again. Tell us how it goes.
