remove extra windows on the homescreen

The home screen windows allow you to add widgets or apps to it. I have 5 and I do not need that many. Its super annoying because some of my wallpapers don't fit right and its just not useful if nothing is on that particular window. My phone is an Alcatel Onetouch Fierce 2. Please help with this... Thanks

I believe if you long press the homescreen, it should allow you to drag to the trash icon. Do that until you have the number of screens you want.

The only way to do this on that phone would be to install a custom launcher from the Play Store, such as Nova Launcher.
