Should I update to Marshmallow while my device is rooted?

I have an LG G Stylo (Metro PCS) on lollipop and I recently got a notification saying I could up update my system to Marshmallow. The only issue is that I'm rooted and I don't know if this will brick my device. If anyone could help? I want to keep root but I don't know of the consequences if I do update while still rooted.

Never update a rooted device OTA. It will brick it

It probably won't update anyway - you'll get to 25-30%, then it will "fail". (That's just the checking phase, it hasn't done anything yet. The "failure" is that the phone is rooted.)
