Help cant get my Note 4 to update to Marshmallow. Can Anyone help?

Hello i have an unlocked Galaxy Note 4 originally through AT&T that i am currently using on the T-Mobile network that i am trying update to the latest firmware/software update but it wont allow me to. Is there a way to do that?

so i purchased an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 4 recently and it is originally an AT&T phone that i am using on the T-Mobile Network. each time i try to update to Android 6.0.1 it keeps telling up to date. i checked the firmware and i am currently running 5.1.1

Does anyone know a way for me to update it to the latest firmware?

Welcome.
Try this: Remove SIM card, restart. Check for updates. Once it gets the OTA update, install as per usual. Once back up, re-install the SIM card.

AT&T provide the update to those on their network. You have an AT&T phone on a different network so you will not get the update. You can't flash TMOBILE ROM because the note 4 bootloader is locked.
Sometimes the guys on xda capture these OTA updates so head over there to see if they have
