Galaxy s6 edge overheated and odesnt allow me to open any app exept contatcs

I was at the pool and my phone got hot from the sun. I disnt realise it until i put it a waterproof case to make pics under water. And after i removed it i saw a notification saying that the batter is hoverheated
And it didnt let me open any app exept contatcs and messages! Please i need your help what should i do is there any big problem, can it be solved or
How much can i spend to repair it? Well thanks for taking your time i hope i find a solution. Thanks again...

It doesn't sound promising it needs to go to a repair shop for a proper assessment. As for cost it depends on the extent of the damage. Sorry I can't be of more help.
