My phone Shutting down after booting [Asus Zenfone 2]

Hi all

A week back, I dropped my phone in to water and I dried it using a rice bag and it was working fine. Few days later I disassembled it and cleaned it with electronic contact cleaner. After assembling it, it worked fine for few hours and suddenly it's started to shutdown automatically.

*When the power button is pressed it turn on and shutdown when Asus logo appears.
*When USB cable is plugged it wait till home screen and after home screen appears it shutdown after 10 to 20 sec later
*It stays on forever in the boot menu [Power Button and Volume up].

I did a reset and it stays on till the reset is done and same thing happens after reset is finished..

Any clue why this is caused? I Don't have a asus repair center in my country and I want to determine if this a software issue or a hardware issue. I'm thinking about flashing the firmware. Will it be a good idea?

Alas, water damage tends to be progressive. These and other problems are to be expected, even after drying out.
