Huawei P9 Lite - Why is my internal storage not accessible?

Both my internal storage and SD card storage are showing for my device on my lappy. My internal storage is packed with photos and videos which I need to transfer. However, I am unable to find a folder that contains any of my camera data at all within the internal storage. I have followed several help guides - including enabling the developer ops and re-configuring the USB config from MTP to charge only, back to MTP. The data is still inaccessible. I've read and followed the prompts below and still to no avail. The only option I have left is to manually move all of those files to my SD card which is super time consuming. Does anyone have any other suggestions please?
