I sometimes there is a delay when typing or doesn't work at all Galaxy on5

For last couple days every time I text message or anything else that uses a keyboard will my Galaxy on5 sometimes there's a delay for when the letters pop up on the screen Google and sometimes no matter how many times I touch a letter nothing shows up and the keyboard I'll just disappear and then I gotta hit the area where I want to type in the keyboard I'll pop back up all the other functions on my phone work except for when I go to type a message someone please help I have a regular keyboard I didn't download anything I even went as far as to backup and reset factory reset my whole phone and it's still happening once it starts let me type it works fine until I move on to a different screen
