How to quickly change light dark setting

Coming from windows phone. How do I quickly change from light dark settings.

I used to change to dark at night time and the whole OS would be dark and reverse in the daytime.

Anyway I can do it on my Nexus 6P?

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, there is no native Night Mode setting in Android. Some launchers (like Nova) have an option to modify the color scheme somewhat based on the time of day, but that won't affect apps or system menus. People were hoping that Night Mode would make it into Nougat, and developer preview versions had it for a little while, but then it was abandoned for unclear reasons.

At one point, a 3rd party app called Night Mode Enabler could access some of that function, but it shows as incompatible with my Nexus 6P, even though it's supposed to be compatible. Maybe it was designed for 7.0, and not updated for 7.1.1? How to enable Night Mode on your Nexus in Android 7.0 Nougat | Android Central
