Microphone on my Samsung Galaxy grand prime not working

I can hear them but they can't hear me.

it is probably broken, so check this also happens with recording apps, if so make sure the mic opening isn't blocked.

Welcome to Android Central! Can they hear you on speakerphone, or with a wired or Bluetooth headset? If so, then your primary phone mic is either broken, or the opening is blocked/clogged. Inspect the mic opening closely and see if there's any lint or other debris in there. If it's clear, then bring the phone to a repair shop.
