How do I delete device photos from nexus 6p

A

AC Question

How can I delete photos from a nexus 6 p without first uploading them to some google nonsense. This phone is through project fi and I'm bothered that I will have to pay to upload hundreds of out of focus pictures of walls, floors, feet, etc. all taken by the camera without any help from me and in burst mode. From all I have found there is no way to delete them except by using the free up space option, but that won't allow them to be deleted unless they are uploaded to google first.

Can anyone suggest an app that will get me out of this ridiculous Catch 22.

Open the Photos app, long-press on a photo. This selects it with a checkmark and enables the trashcan. You can then go through and single-tap each subsequent photo you want to delete and then tap the trashcan to delete them all.
