Calls and aux port don't work on LG phone.

I own a LG-D280. Yesterday, I plugged a speaker cord into it and it restarted. The cords were probably plugged in wrong on the speakers end.
Anyway, after turning on, the aux port doesn't work anymore, not for speakers nor earphones and whenever I'm in a call, the audio is absolutely horrible, it sounds metallic and garbled up.
The speakers on the phone are fine, music plays clearly without any external audio outputs but the calls and port are just not working.
Please, if anyone has any help, please share it with me.

Welcome to Android Central! Did the plug seem to fit wrong, perhaps too tightly? I'd wonder if the jack was damaged by it.
