Why won't my Nexus load properly?

my nexus wont load properly?

i turn on the screen and it starts loading with "google", then the colored dots start moving. after a few seconds the dots freeze. a few seconds later after that, it goes back to "google", and the whole cycle happens again.

That's called a boot loop. What have you done to the phone recently?

1st, its a nexus 7. and what do you mean by done recently? for some reason, a while ago the battery would drain really quickly so i kept it on charge the whole time and i was able to use it like that. every while i was able to take it off charge. now it just does what i said before.
