Device keeps hanging while installing apps. Why is it doing this?

Device keeps hanging while installing apps.

Started couple days ago when found an Google app still installing after all night. Unable to stop. Nothing running under applications. Plenty of device and card storage space. Had to do restart to stop "installing". Went back into store and picked one small update and got stuck at installing again. I had to restart to get it to quit. Nothing on virus scans. All temp files removed, cache cleared. Third restart with same results. I am open to ideas.

Playstore might be having trouble or perhaps Play Services. Several posts about having problems while installing or updating apps. You might wait a few hours or days and try again.
