There were all these stories suggesting that Google might make some big, cool Android announcement around December 12th... but that day has come and gone with nary a mention of it. Was it all smoke and mirrors, or did something actually get announced? I'm still eagerly anticipating an Android device on Sprint...

Not that I have anything against sprint, I think that they need to get an android device because their ship is sinking fast. I would like to see something there just so more people can join the community, because then it will really take off.

Yes, I did see that article... but given the Instinct/Omnia/etc form factor, I'm still very underwhelmed. Call me picky, but I'm waiting for an Android device more along the lines of a Treo or HTC Touch Pro -- in other words, both touchscreen AND physical keyboard. If the G1's keyboard was more like the Touch Pro (better key layout and without the chin getting in the way of the right side of the keyboard), I would probably have switch to Tmobile already.

...wait a minute, probably not. =P But if a device like that was available on Sprint, I certainly would have bought in on day one.
