Installed an update to 4.4.2 today but now MX player is not compatible. Does anyone know if one of the codec downloads can cure the problem or will I have to wait for a new MX player update?
"Unsupported Android version" :'(

The problem is with the Android version number, not with the codec; MX Player sees it's one that it hasn't been tested with, so immediately quits without even trying. It's a great player when it works, but for an Android device like a Nexus where there is currently a lot of churn in version numbers, it's not worth the bother. I'm using VLC instead.

For me, MX Player is the best plyer for Android and I don't understand it's developers.
Just released KitKat 4.4 they work to upgradeit an it was working perfect in my Nexus 5.
Google start it's "Nightlies" and they only has to unlock version number limitation.

I hope update does not take a long time
VLC is winning adepts... LOL!!!
