Pictures showing up twice.

My Photo gallery has double the pictures. I noticed that the path is slightly different for each duplicate picture.

Example:
Picture 1 = Path: /storage/emulated/legacy/sugarsync/pictures
Picture 1 Duplicate = Path: /storage/emulated/0/sugarsync/pictures

both those paths are the same. they are called symlink in linux. think of symlink as folder shortcut in windows.

there are total of 3 simlinks which points to the sdcard folder just like this. this is added to enable and support multiuser in Android 4.2.
so if you delete a file from one location it will be deleted from other too.

so now to your actual problem. what photo gallery app are you using? stock gallery or 3rd party

I have exactly this problem on a nexus 6 too. Some, but not all pictures show up twice in the Google photo app. When one is deleted both disappear. They are not ones which I have edited.

Really annoying as i just deleted one I really wanted to keep.
